Jack Watts (T.F.Y.E) Is a tattooist from London, He's got quite a big following for his lowbrow art and making the transfer to tattoos. His work is in a similar vain to mine, it's much bolder, a cleaner however which I imagine is due to the influence of tattooing. Very character and narrative based. I think it's important to take note of people like Jack for this brief because there's not a lot of people who tattoo is this style and even less who are technically competent at it and have served an apprenticeship doing so.






SCUMBOY is a japanese tattooist, currently tattooing over in that side of the world. Like Jack Watts, his work is very Low Brow and when I've asked a tattooist friend of mine he described it as 'it's so stupid which makes it so good'  The reason i resonate with such artists is it's obvious they don't take themselves or their art too seriously which is something I'm about. SCUMBOY also has a large instagram following for this character and monster based tattoos, again very basic but really cool. It's always great to see someone doing something in the same vain as yourself doing well, and in the same vain of what it is I want to do. So it shows it can be done. It's also a bummer seeing someone do what you do and what you want to do but better.
